Gov Tessori chairs meeting: Heads of software houses reviews IT training, curriculum

Karachi: A meeting of heads of software houses was held at Governor House. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori chaired it. Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Dr. Farooq Sattar, Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rehman, IT Assistant to Governor Muzamil Athar, IT expert Daniyal Naguri were present in meeting.

Promotion of information technology in province, conducting IT courses for youth, preparation of curriculum, utilisation of IT market at international level and other related issues were discussed. Governor said that 50,000 youths will be taught IT courses under Governor Annie Shetto, while test will be held in Governor House soon to select these youths. Governor said that it is my dream to make Karachi centre of IT. He said that it is important to know correct data in IT department. IT courses will be conducted. Kamran said that courses in Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse and Web 3 are in great demand in world, website www.governorsindh.com has been activated for these courses under Governor Annie Shetto.

He said that there are immense opportunities in IT sector, it is necessary to take advantage of them. Kamran Khan said that software houses can also support these courses, after start of courses students can be told about their respective software houses. In meeting, owners of software houses said that software houses are with Governor on this matter.

Chief Executive Officer Asif Peer, senior Vice President ARPATECH Brigadier (retd) Tariq Rafiq, CEO TPS Shahzad Shahid, SI Global Solutions Zeeshan Ahmed Khan, Hasan Jahangir and Faiq Abbas (SOFTOLOGICS), Co-Founder Vimzaa Hamza Zafar, Plug IT Solutions. Qaim, Zeeshan Shakeel and Arsalan Khan (VinnCorp), Counter Software Waseem Ahmed, DG Coop Solutions Muhammad Sadiq, Plug Orange Pakistan Raza Muhammad Khan, Encourage Karachi Muneeb, Director Infusion Creative Agency Shafi Muhammad Siddique, Adeel Rashid and Abu Bakr were present.

Meanwhile a meeting of hospitals of Municipality Karachi and Pakistan programme was held in Governor House. Measures to improve hospitals of Karachi Municipality, provision of all facilities to patients and difficulties being faced in this regard were discussed. In meeting, plan of providing ration to one lakh people for 6 months under powerful Pakistan programme was also discussed. Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman, Municipal Commissioner, senior Director Health Services, Medical Superintendents of hospitals participated in meeting.

Governor is brand ambassador of powerful Pakistan programme. Governor said that Abbasi Shaheed and Sobhraj are most important medical centres of KMC. He said that improvement of all medical centres of KMC especially these two hospitals is among priorities.

Moreover, Governor in office of Sindh Parliamentary Reporter Association (Supra) appreciated services of deceased Abdul Salam Soomro. He did an exemplary job as video journalist. Later, Governor paid detailed visit to office of association. Establishment of Supra’s office in historical building of Sindh Assembly is welcome. SPRA General Secretary Akram Baloch, Doduchandio and Sanjay Sadhwani informed Governor about issues of journalists. Lawyer Rao Liaquat Mughal and other senior journalists welcomed Governor on reaching Sindh Assembly.
