‘Gov Tessori discusses Pak-UK ties, investment with British HC’

Karachi: British High Commissioner Jane Marriott along with Deputy High Commissioner Sarah Mooney met Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. In meeting, Pakistan-UK bilateral relations, measures to further promote them, investment opportunities in Sindh province and other issues of mutual interest were discussed. Governor said that Pakistan-UK relations are getting stronger with passage of time, they can be further promoted by exchanging delegations in various fields. He said that British investors should take advantage of favorable investment conditions in Sindh province, they will be provided with all possible assistance and facilities. British High Commissioner said that Sindh Governor’s IT programme is worthy of appreciation.

Meanwhile, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon met Governor Tessori, Governor congratulated him on being appointed IG Sindh again. In meeting, law and order situation in province, control of street crimes, Safe City Project, installation of CCTV cameras, community policing and other issues were discussed. Governor said that increasing incidents of street crimes in city are alarming, adding that they can be controlled by increasing police patrolling and effective use of CCTV.
