Karachi: Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that KDA will construct storm drain from 4K Chowrangi to Lyari River Yusuf Goth Gadap Town with support of government and construction of storm drain will help to control the situation during rains. He added that Sindh Government is working day and night to complete countless projects in city on urgent basis and effects of positive initiatives of government will be visible soon.

Laying foundation stone of storm drain at 4K Chowrangi to Lyari river Yusuf Goth Gadap Town he was accompanied by Senator Waqar Mehdi, Minister Labour and Human Resources Saeed Ghani, MNA Shahida Rahmani, Secretary LG Najam Ahmad Shah, Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, CM Coordinator Shehzad Memon and MC KMC Syed Shujaat. KDA Superintendent Engineer Abdul Muttalib Manan informed that length of storm drain is about 15000 running feet while pipeline of 15, 24, 36, 48, 72 dia inches will be laid. Minister said that construction of storm drain will cost around Rs 798 million and all resources will be used to complete said drain before stipulated time. DG KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah said that we need to take practical steps in future that will benefit future generations. He added that KDA is making full use of its resources to provide basic facilities to citizens and development works are going on across city with support of government.
