Land allocated for IT varsity likely to be set up by govt: Sohail Rajput

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Secretary Dr. Sohail Rajput said that government is going to establish an Information Technology university for which land has been allotted.

Addressing programme hosted by Alumni Association Government College University Hyderabad - GCUH’s Karachi Chapter at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Sohail Rajput, who himself studied at GCUH, said that government college got status of University due to efforts of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Currently, there are many opportunities in IT field and lot of foreign exchange can be earned through this sector.

He proposed that alumni association should become strong platform and establish fund by which scholarship can be given to deserving students of College.  Justice (retd) Ameer Hani Muslim said that students studying from Government College, Hyderabad have excelled in various fields and achieved prominent positions in their respective departments.  He called for need of good law college in public sector for which they are ready to offer their services free of charge. He appreciated efforts of the Alumni Association and assured all possible support.
