KARACHI: Director General Public Relations Muhammad Saleem Khan said that Information department is assigned task of publicising activities of provincial government departments and other official entities through print, electronic and social media.

Talking with 5-member delegation of Centre for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS) at his office here he said that Sindh Information Department (SID) also acts as bridge between various government departments and media and updates masses about public welfare initiatives through media.

He said that Public Relations Officers attached with provincial ministers and advisors to highlight government endeavours. Purpose of visit was to introduce CISSS to Information Department and discuss areas of mutual interest and scope of future collaboration between two organisations.

Director Research Aftab Hussain briefed Director General about aims, objectives, vision and research team of CISSS and apprised him about activities that CISSS has performed so far. DGPR also gave an overview of Information department and informed delegation about organogram, aims, objectives and its outreach.

It was decided that team of SID will visit CISSS after Eid for further cooperation between two organisations. DGPR highly appreciated team CISSS’s efforts and assured his full support and cooperation. Director Research Aftab Hussain presented souvenir to Saleem Khan. 

Delegation of CISSS comprised of Research Officer Safia Malik, Tarique Ahmed Abro, Zeeshan Hyder and Research Assistant Areeba Mumtaz.
