With the dawn of 2024, Pakistan is gearing up for the General Elections amidst bafflement in the political landscape. Political parties have kicked off election campaigns across the country.

On one side, the exchange of heated words, and bashing statements among the politicians belonging to different parties is ruling at length while on the other side, new entrants are being welcomed across the board.

The bafflement about the date of the final elections seems to be over among the political quarters in the country after the final verdict of the Election Commission of Pakistan and the stance of the Interim Government made it explicit to all that ‘no delay’ to come, Elections in Pakistan to be held on February 8.

PML-N, PPP, PTI, JUI-F, MQM-P, Jamaat-e-Islami and others have also started revealing their respective election manifestoes from time to time with an intent to capture the maximum attention of the masses.

This time before the elections, ECP rejected the nomination papers of various candidates on multiple grounds while later several papers were accepted. Also, Pakistan this year will witness many new faces in both the National and the Provincial assemblies.

The wait will soon be over; time will decide who will be the new leader of Pakistan and to what extent that leader will keep his promises made to the nation in letter and spirit. It is believed that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will be in the topmost slot for the new premiership.
