FPCCI appoints Kaukab Iqbal as Chief Central Standing Committee for Consumer Protection Adulteration 2024-2025

KARACHI: Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) appointed Chairman of Consumer Association of Pakistan Kokab Iqbal as Central Standing Committee for Consumer Protection, Adulteration for year 2024-25. Kokb Iqbal has been working for protection of consumer rights for last twenty five years. He is founder Chairman of Consumer Association of Pakistan. President of Federation Atif Ikram Shaikh approved his appointment.

Consumer Protection Act has been implemented in all provinces. Food authorities, consumer courts, Pakistan Hilal Authority and consumer protection departments have also been established in three major departments of country, State Bank of Pakistan, Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority in all provinces. Kokab Iqbal has served as Board of Director in Federal Ministry of IT, Telecom Institution Universal Services Fund.

Commissioner has been member of task force of Karachi, while provincial minister has also been performing his duties as chairman of task force of consumer protection of industry. They have also been honoured with awards by various social organisations for their customer service. Governor of Punjab has given Lifetime Achievement Award as reward for customer services. Kokab Iqbal established Women Wing in Consumer Association of Pakistan for women consumers and women working in various sectors.

He has participated in various international conferences while writing more than 55 articles related to consumers which have been published in magazines and newspapers of Pakistan and interviews have also been aired on every TV channel of Pakistan.
