KARACHI: In a remarkable initiative to honor International Women’s Day, Karachi Airport saw its key operations being led entirely by women.

From ground handling to check-in counters and international flight services, women professionals managed every aspect with precision and expertise. This special move was aimed at recognizing the invaluable role of women in the workforce.  Their seamless execution of complex tasks left a lasting impression, proving their capabilities in aviation and beyond.

The women’s ground handling team, trained and recruited by Gerry’s dnata, showcased their professionalism and efficiency throughout the day. Akram Wali Muhammad, Group Managing Director, lauded the efforts, emphasizing how this initiative highlights the growing presence of women in Pakistan’s development across diverse fields. Meanwhile, on International Women’s Day, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed their commitment to women’s empowerment. 

President Zardari praised Pakistani women for their resilience and contributions to societal progress, while PM Shehbaz urged continued efforts to uphold women’s rights, ensuring a future where every woman can achieve her dreams.
