KP govt, opposition pick Azam Khan as caretaker CM

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and opposition agreed on Azam Khan’s name as caretaker Chief Minister of province. Azam Khan has previously served as provincial Finance Minister. Muhammad Azam Khan has had long and bright career as civil servant in government of Pakistan.

He has served as Minister for Finance, Planning and Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Federal Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs. Earlier, he held important positions in KP government where he served as Chief Secretary and Secretary of different ministries. Mr. Khan was educated at University of Peshawar, following which he went to Lincoln’s Inn, London to complete his Barrister-at-Law degree.
