Water Corp to raise its revenue collection

Karachi: Water Corporation stepped up mission to further expand its revenue and tax database. In this regard, on instructions of CEO Water Corporation Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, DMD RRG Water Corporation Syed Imran Zaidi wrote letter to Sindh Building Authority.

According to spokesperson, Water Corporation has requested details of buildings, flats and plazas in Karachi from Sindh Building Control Authority, while Water Corporation officials said in letter that detailed information of buildings, flats and plazas registered and approved by SBCA should be provided and names and locations of all registered societies should also be provided, letter said.

Status of buildings, plazas and flats, their approval and whether they are under construction or complete should also be mentioned.

Apart from this, relevant authorities regulating buildings, flats and plazas and their contact information should also be provided. Corporation officials asked Sindh Building Authority to provide all details as soon as possible, because Water Corporation wants to further increase its revenue customers and database.

On other hand, Water Corporation has also decided to take action against those who do not pay their dues, In this regard, DMD RRG Syed Imran Zaidi said that an operation will be conducted against eighteen private cooperative housing societies that have not paid dues from October 14? He said that 18 different private cooperative housing societies were given week’s time to pay dues of Corporation, but they did not pay dues. He said that one week grace period will end on Thursday, In first phase, water connections of eighteen different private cooperative housing societies will be disconnected, while in second phase, sewage connections will be disconnected.
