Arshad Chaiwala faces major legal trouble

Arshad Chaiwala, a popular figure who gained fame in 2016 after his viral Instagram photos, is now facing significant legal trouble.

Known for his striking blue eyes and unique features, Arshad quickly made a name for himself, delving into modeling, appearing in music videos, and eventually starting his own cafe business. Over the years, he built a successful career and achieved financial stability.

However, Arshad's life has taken a drastic turn as his CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) and passport have been blocked by the authorities. The issue arose when the authorities asked him to provide proof of his citizenship amid the ongoing crackdown on Afghan refugees in Pakistan. This request led to the suspension of his official documents, triggering a legal battle. In response, Arshad Chaiwala has taken the matter to the Lahore High Court, challenging the actions of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). Arshad asserts that the demand for pre-1978 citizenship proof for him and his family is unjustified and malicious, as his family is already documented.

The court has ordered NADRA to conduct a hearing and resolve the matter within one month.
