Karachi: Gold lost value in line with international market. In local market, gold price per tola decreased by Rs 200 to Rs 260,000 per tola, according to rates shared by All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Ten gram gold was sold at Rs 222,908 after it registered decrease of Rs 172 per ten gram. In international market, gold price jacked up by $ 5 an ounce to reach $ 2,502 an ounce. On other hand, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs 2,950 per tola. US gold futures edged 0.1 percent lower to $ 2,534.80. Elsewhere, spot silver fell 0.2 percent to $ 28.95 per ounce, platinum eased 0.3 percent to $ 951.75 and palladium shed 0.9 percent to $ 942.50
