Mehwish Hayat lately launched her own production house which has been situated in United Kingdom. Popular film actress has announced above-mentioned declaration through her Instagram post during which she described that she has been working to establish her own production house since long time.

During lengthy Instagram note of her Instagram handle, Mehwish stated that she has decided to establish production house which named ‘Lama Production’ in UK for authentic representation of Muslim world and Pakistani culture on western media.

She emphasised her working experience in Marvel Cinematic Universe series ‘Ms Marvel’ which has helped her to realise significance of true representation. For a quite long time it has been seen that western culture is producing harmful stereotypes regarding Muslim community and Pakistani culture which has somehow provided an apparent rise to islamophobia (prejudice or hate towards Islam or Muslims). In order to deal with increasing misconceptions regarding Muslim community it is highly need to show genuine picture of Muslim to whole of world.
