ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) headed by Secretary and Parliamentary Secretary Industries and Production Division Dr Syeda Shahida Rehmani called on Minister for Narcotics Control Nawabzada Shazain Bugti here.

During meeting, Dr Syeda Shahida Rehmani showed grave concern over increasing use of drugs among Pakistani youth. She urged Ministry of Narcotics Control to maximise effective efforts for prevention of use of drugs in country, says an official statement issued here yesterday.

Minister apprised delegation regarding different legislations Ministry is working for preventative measures. Referring to recently launch of National Drug Use Survey Pakistan 2022-24, Minister said it will help to take stock of drug abuse situation in country and facilitate chalking out strategies to effectively combat challenges of drug abuse.
