Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has claimed that PDM government is planning to kill him at his residence like Murtaza Bhutto through police operation. Addressing his supporters through video link from his Zaman Park residence, Imran accused ruling coalition of trying to oust his PTI party from elections. Imran Khan claimed that government devised plan to conduct an operation inside Zaman Park “Either today or tomorrow”.

They have formed two squads that will mingle with PTI workers and fire at policemen. Their plan is to kill people as they did in Model Town, he said. I want to tell Punjab Police that five police personnel will be killed by them, he claimed, adding that his party was not looking for conflict. He urged PTI supporters and workers to avoid getting involved in any conflict despite their security forces’ repeated attempts to provoke you all. Imran alleged that government attacked his residence as if terrorist was hiding there.Imran stated that he received information from police that unknown persons wearing Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) uniform were planning to kill him.

He accused Inspector General of Police Punjab of being involved in plan and stated that there is another plan in place that is orchestrated by IGP Punjab, IGP Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and their handlers. According to him, they may conduct another operation in Zaman Park in evening or tomorrow. PTI Chief also claimed that two squads have been formed by IGP Punjab and IG Islamabad who will mingle with PTI workers and fire at policemen, as result of which four or five policemen will be killed. In response, there will be firing by police and blood of PTI workers will be shed like Model Town tragedy.

“I am ready to court my arrest, but I will not let my people die. I am not concerned by my possible arrest but I am concerned about my workers. Judiciary should protect our rights.”

Imran Khan announced holding public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan on Saturday night. He furthered that if incumbent rulers continue to stay at helm, then masses will have no future in this country. Money they [PDM leaders] have stashed abroad is more than money they are asking from IMF, he added.
