Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan demanded proper inquiry into “Sudden” death of Station House Officer (SHO) Amir Shahzad, who died of “Heart attack” day earlier.

Shahzad was complainant of first information report (FIR) registered against Wazirabad attack on former prime minister in November last year. PTI Chief took to twitter where he laid his demand and said that SHO “Was a critical witness in unearthing conspirators behind this assassination plot being inquired into by Joint Investigation Team”. Imran Khan added that “JIT record has also been tampered with”.

“It is equally important to recall mysterious circumstances surrounding death of FIA investigator Dr Rizwan as well as deaths of Maqsood Chaprassi and all other witnesses in Shehbaz Sharif’s money laundering case,” Imran furthered.

Case of the assassination attempt on Imran was registered at City Wazirabad police station on statement of deceased policeman. Imran and several other PTI leaders were injured after an attacker opened fire near PTI reception camp at Allahwala Chowk during party’s long march on Nov 3, 2022.

In February, an important record pertaining to investigation of attack on Imran Khan had reportedly gone missing from Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE). Record contained investigation files of JIT formed to probe assassination bid.
