KARACHI: The private airline Airblue has caused havoc to the lives of its customers due to its mismanagement. Following to the negligence of Air Blue, passengers got stuck at Lahore Airport for more than two days.

The planes are not in such a position to fulfill the capacity of domestic flights but for international travel, the airline continuously increases its flight operations.

Karachi’s well-known Industrialist and ex-president KATI Sheikh Manzar Alam told this scribe the story of the pain that his family had gone through at Lahore Airport due to the non-professionalism of Air Blue. The flight which was scheduled for takeoff on December 25 at nine o’clock in the morning, will now restart its delayed flight today morning, Manzar Alam told ‘Daily National Courier’.

Industrialist Sheikh Manzar Alam revealed that his family was called to the airport several times for three days and then again the flight was canceled. Manzar while revealing the story of pain said that he would go to court against Air Blue for this mental torture, his family had suffered due to the negligence of Air Blue.

He also said that Airblue has recently started flight many international flights in countries like Bahrain, Jeddah, etc. But unfortunately, the Air Blue management has ignored all the domestic passengers as if they are not citizens of Pakistan.

Sheikh Manzar Alam said that his family’s flight from Lahore to Karachi was scheduled for 9 am on December 25. It was later rescheduled to 12:05 am on December 26, but later, the flight was completely canceled and the airline rescheduled the passengers for a flight on December 26 at 5 pm. At noon, passengers were informed that the flight was delayed by 30 minutes.

Upon arrival at the airport, all the passengers were informed that the flight had been canceled. He questioned ‘Who will compensate for the pain caused by the mismanagement of Airblue?

Manzar added that he does not understand why Airblue is busy booking flights if it does not have enough aircraft available for domestic and international flights. International flights are departing on time but all domestic flights continue to be canceled from time to time or delayed due to non-availability of aircraft.

He expressed immense disappointment with Air Blue’s services and said that it is the main reason why they don’t prefer booking with domestic flights. On the other hand, international flights bring a huge amount of money so they keep flying them and continue ignoring all domestic flights and their passengers.

He also questioned ‘why no senior management official was not available in the Air Blue office during the night shift’. They had only 2 female employees working at 11 pm who were unable to handle the pressure of the angry passengers who were stuck at Lahore Airport for 3-4 days.

Manzar Alam said that despite knowing about such apathy of Air Blue, no official from the senior management of Air Blue bothered to come in front and resolve the customers’ problem. Manzar Alam has demanded an immediate investigation of the matter from the top management of Air Blue over causing pain to the passengers.
