KARACHI: Former India skipper Virat Kohli and other members of the Indian cricket team met Pakistan's injured pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi at the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Cricket Academy in Dubai yestersday. Pakistan, India, and the rest of the participating teams are training at the same venue ahead of the T20 Asia Cup 2022, scheduled to kick off on 27th August at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) posted a video on social media where Indian players including Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul met Shaheen and inquired about his injured knee. The players met, warmly greeted each other and chatted for a while. Shaheen's injury forced him out of the Asian event, and he has been replaced by young pacer Mohammad Hasnain. Also, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz were seen greeting and chatting with Sri Lankan players.  It is pertinent to mention here that the Green Shirts will take on their arch-rivals India on the 28th of August at the Dubai International Stadium.
