KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Tuesday, following an increase in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs4,800, reaching Rs306,300.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed by Rs4,115 to settle at Rs262,602, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). On Monday, gold prices had already gained Rs1,500 per tola. The international gold rate also saw an upward trend, reaching $2,916 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $47 increase in a single day.
