Amid the ongoing legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, a recently surfaced voice note has shed new light on their relationship during the film’s production.

The dispute escalated when Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign. In response, Baldoni counterclaimed, alleging defamation, civil extortion, false light, and invasion of privacy. The case is set to go to trial in a New York court on March 9, 2025. The voice note, reportedly sent by Baldoni to Lively, offers an apology for his actions during the production, particularly in relation to a suggestion Lively made for a rooftop scene. In the message, Baldoni expresses regret, saying, “Man, reading the second part of your message, my heart sank and I’m really sorry. I, for sure, fell short and you worked really hard on that.”

He acknowledges his flaws and emphasizes his commitment to making amends: “I will always apologise and then find my way back to center.” Baldoni also highlights the importance of open communication, acknowledging that much of their communication had been through text and voicemail. He admits that face-to-face interactions are where he feels most comfortable, but reassures Lively of his willingness to improve their relationship. The voice note offers a glimpse into the complexities of their professional dynamic, further fueling the public interest in their ongoing legal disputes.
