KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Sindh President Nisar Ahmad Khuhro advised MQM-P to participate in Local Body elections.

He said that after completion of second phase of LB elections, power would be transferred to lower level. He said that it was not work of Sindh government, but Election Commission to make delimitations, so what was fault of PPP Sindh government regarding constituencies?

He said that atrocities started in November 2021 and objections against them by MQM Pakistan were filed late in March 2022 and court had also rejected requests of MQM in this regard twice.

He said that new elections could cannot be held immediately because first phase elections of four divisions had been held on same elections, so how would it be possible for Election Commission to hold first phase elections on these elections?

Khuhro said that Sindh has not given any authority to federation regarding creation of new provinces and creation of new provinces is not in manifesto of Peoples’ Party and we have clear position that new province will never be created in Sindh.
