KARACHI: Accountability Court of Karachi accepted request of National Accountability Bureau officials to withdraw reference of illegal recruitment in Pakistan State Oil.

Karachi AC heard reference to illegal recruitment wherein former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared in court. NAB officials requested court to withdraw the reference.

Court approved request and ordered to send reference back to NAB Chairman. Speaking to media outside court, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that today should be happy day for us. “After 4 years, NAB said to withdraw reference as I have been coming to court for 12 years, it was not case of corruption and it was just case of misuse of authority,” he said. Shahid Khaqan said that cases are made against political people and it will be better for country if NAB would be abolished.
