LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President and former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has met his legal team and decided to seek bail in two cases. Sources told that legal team of Pervaiz Elahi decided to seek interim bail in two new cases. Legal team will approach high court against case lodged with Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Gujranwala. Another case was registered against PTI President for resistance during ACE raid at his house.

PTI President is expected to address press conference for giving his stance about persons who ordered to raid his residence. On April 28, anti-corruption establishment (ACE) team along with police contingents raided former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Pervaiz Elahi’s house in Lahore. It was learnt that 25 persons including woman were arrested by ACE during raid. However, Pervaiz Elahi was not arrested in raid. Eight-hour-long police action came to halt after Director General of Punjab’s Anti-Corruption Establishment Sohail Zafar Chattha, left scene along with police contingent.

Police entered house after scaling wall and an armoured personnel carrier (APC) of police broke main gate of residence.

Mystery surrounding raid at former Punjab CM’s house deepened further after federal government distanced itself from operation.

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also distanced itself from raid. During raid, member of Chaudhry family contacted Mohsin Naqvi, upon which it was found out that Punjab CM had left for Saudi Arabia.
