ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Prime Minister will pay a two-day official visit to China November 1 at invitation of Li Keqiang, Premier of State Council of People’s Republic of China. This will be PM Shehbaz Sharif’s first visit to China since assuming office in April 2022 and follows his meeting with President Xi Jinping in Uzbekistan on September 16, 2022.

He will be among first leaders to visit China following historic 20th National Congress of Communist Party (CPC) of China that elected Xi Jinping as general secretary of party. A high-level delegation will accompany prime minister, PM Office said in a statement.

Two sides will review All-Weather Strategic Cooperation Partnership and exchange views on regional and global developments. “Visit is also expected to advance wide-ranging bilateral cooperation agenda with conclusion of a number of mous/agreements in diverse areas and consolidate momentum of CPEC cooperation in wake of 11th meeting of CPEC Joint Cooperation Committee,” statement added.
