Karachi: Senior Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader and former Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain while expressing his views on 55th foundation day of party said that PPP has bright democratic history of prioritising democracy. He said that party founder and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a leader who provided Constitution to country with consensus of all political parties. Dr Asim said long-standing issue of ‘Qadyanis’ was resolved through National Assembly and Senate in unanimity with all political parties is hallmark of ZA  Bhutto and his party leaders.

Similarly PPP leadership in and out of government always played its part in country’s development and prosperity considering imagination of ZA Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto vision. Women’s emancipation, labours’ rights, mediocre representation in various walks of life are efforts PPP has made during ruling tenures in past. Providing due rights to workers, farmers and union rights to students were given during PPP governments.  Elected representatives and elected Parliaments of PPP twice always worked for well-being of people and upheld country’s democratic system besides strived to make system stronger.

PPP leadership and worker made sacrifices for country and to sustain its democratic process in past party is still working for a democratic and prosperous Pakistan.
