Reham Khan, the British-Pakistani journalist and producer of Hania Aamir’s debut film Janaan, recently offered marriage advice to the actress during a podcast interview.

Reham, who played a pivotal role in launching Hania’s career with the 2016 film, revisited her earlier advice to the actress, where she emphasized the importance of focusing on her career before considering marriage. Reham reiterated her stance, saying, “I believe one should marry only when they feel truly fulfilled in life and are ready for a companion.” She explained that while many young women, especially in their 20s and 30s, feel the pressure of their biological clocks and societal expectations, they often believe marriage will grant them more freedom.

However, Reham pointed out, “That’s not always the reality.” She advised against marrying for the sake of societal pressure or convenience, stressing that marriage should be a personal choice made when one finds the right partner. “Marriage should be something you choose, not something you need,” she added. Reham shared that the same advice applies to her own daughters, highlighting that while she supports the institution of marriage, she also believes it may not be suitable for everyone. Her words reflect her belief that marriage should be a thoughtful decision rather than a societal obligation.
