KARACHI: The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) has initiated measures to ensure cleanliness and convenience for citizens on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

Managing Director SSWMB, Tariq Ali Nizamani, chaired a meeting where he directed that heavy vehicles transporting waste to the landfill site should only operate at night to minimize traffic congestion and accidents.

Nizamani also instructed that relief camps be set up in all zones to facilitate citizens, and that mosques, imambargahs, and graveyards be cleaned and disinfected. Additional sanitary workers will be deployed in shifts to ensure cleanliness.

The MD SSWMB emphasized that all necessary arrangements be made to prevent any inconvenience to citizens and that complaints be addressed promptly. Complaint centers will be active, and citizens can also register complaints through the SSWMB helpline (1128), WhatsApp number (0318-1030851), or the SSWMB Complaints Karachi app.
