Pakistan's prominent actress and host Riz Kamali has made many great appearances in Pakistani dramas. Riz Kamali shared her journey and passion in an exclusive interview with 'Daily National Courier'.  When asked why she is not seen much on screen nowadays? the actress replied 'people do ask me often that why I am not seen on screen now in every other project as I used to be before? Reason I think that I am no longer scared of losing my work. It takes lot of guts especially in a male-dominated society to stand up against any kind of harassment or share any such experience because it always backfires and somehow victim ends up being mocked in society.  

On a question related to work-life balance, Kamali said that being an artist and working in showbiz, we lose out privacy and right of living, celebrities desire people to comment on every little thing that we do and we have to live with that, to become a public figure one has to give countless sacrifices, this is what I believe and this is actually the reality of showbiz industry.

On a harassment related question, Riz said, it is the right time now to tackle harassment at workplace, cyber bullying and sexual abuse of all kinds. She disclosed that she got mentally harassed at her workplace but she did not revealed those agonies publicly uptill now because she always wanted to do justice with her work and is much concerned with the project and industry's reputation, so always ignored such traumas. Lastly, she cited the reason for not working continuously on screen was merely her pretty traumatic experiences in her career so she decided to stop working in showbiz for sake of mental health and peace and never responded back to the critics. But she added that she has not left the showbiz industry, will continue to work on projects of different natures from time to time.
