It hasn’t even been a week since much-anticipated Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra, Part One Shiva was released in theatres and fans are already waiting for second part. With first one starring husband-wife duo Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, some are speculating whether next instalment will retain initial cast or will feature star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Breaking silence over fan speculations about cast of second film of planned fantasy  trilogy, film critic and author Anupama Chopra, on Film Companion, said “I hope that learnings of this film Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva enable them (makers) to make a kickass part two with of course Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.” After Chopra revealed his opinion, host of chat show asked her if news is confirmed or not.

While she didn’t say anything explicitly, she responded by blinking her eyes in a manner that confirmed development and that was enough for fans to get excited already! Earlier this week, Mukerji, director of Brahmastra told The Times of India that makers will “plan shooting of second and third parts”. “Trilogy will tell same story, but that each film would introduce new characters and add various perspectives to overall narrative.”
