Karachi: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Saleem has said that all kinds of encroachments on roads, footpaths, playgrounds or in public parks will be removed from District causing problems for citizens.

Supervising anti-encroachment operation in Hussainabad Gulbarg Zone he asked for lists of encroachments established in central district. He directed survey of amity plots and parks and provide list of leased and unleased plots so that illegal use of amenity plots can be prevented. In light of orders of Supreme Court, action can be taken to ensure end of illegal use of such plots.

Taha Salim said that help should be obtained from law enforcement agencies to end encroachments and orders of Supreme Court should be obeyed. Action should be taken impartially without any pressure to end encroachments. He said that any kind of negligence in this direction would not be tolerated.

On DC directives, Assistant Commissioner Nazimabad Zainab Jahandad, an anti-encroachment operation was conducted in parts of Nazimabad, while price list display checking in markets along with 10 kg of polythene bags was also carried out.

Under supervision of Assistant Commissioner North Nazimabad Tahir Ali Cheema, anti-encroachment teams of KDA, KMC and DMC conducted joint operation around North Nazimabad Hyderi Market and surrounding areas removed stalls and other encroachments.  Meanwhile, under Assistant Commissioner Gulberg Dadan Lashari an operation was also conducted against encroachments on Hussainabad Food Streets. In operation, law enforcement agencies, K Electric and Anti Encroachment, KDA, KMC was also participating. Assistant Commissioners of Central District are continuously active against encroachments and busy taking legal action against persons and businessmen creating hurdles by erecting encroachments on public places.All Assistant Commissioner warned people involved encroaching public places. Initiative of Taha Salim against encroachment will play an important role in providing free environment to residents of Central District.                                                                           Assistant Commissioners of Central District, KDA, KMC and DMC encroachment officers were present on this occasion.
