Karachi: A candle light vigil for oppressed Palestinian people was organised by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori outside gate no.1 of Governor House.

People from every walk of life, members of civil society, media representatives attended event. Hindu, Christian and Sikh communities also participated. They expressed their solidarity with Palestinian brethren under constant brutal attacks of Israeli forces.

Stage made for occasion and walls of Governor House were decorated with Palestine flags and banners, stating plight of people of Palestine. Governor in address said that he was thankful to people who are gathered here to show support to Palestinians.

He said attacks of Israeli forces on innocent Palestine people amount to war crimes. Attacks on refugees camps, church and hospital is clear proof of barbarism of Israel, he opined. He said that world community must take notice of brutalities of Israel and act forthwith to stop attacks on Palestinian localities.

All political parties of country should also get united on issue of Palestine and raise voice against Israeli actions, he added. Governor said that he would go to Egypt with humanitarian aid for Palestinian people. “I will express my concern against atrocities of Israeli forces without fear of anyone as I feel it my duty as Muslim”, he added.

Tessori said that he would raise voice against inhuman attitude of Israel which is against human rights and norms.
