KARACHI: To spread happiness among the children suffering from various ailments especially pediatric heart patients, Khilona Foundation and Salman Corporation jointly distributed toys at National Institute of Cardio Vascular Diseases (NICVD) Children ward on the eve of World Heart Day.

Speaking on the occasion, Founder Khilona Foundation and Pakistan’s prominent Yoga Master, Yogi Wajahat said that it is the collective responsibility of everyone to spare some time in life for the humanity with sincere intentions and feelings. Organising a toy distribution activity along with Country Head Salman Corporation Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, Yogi Wajahat also said that “today it gives me great happiness after spending quick-witted time with the children here at NICVD and the smiles of little angels after getting different toys has motivated me to take this drive with more dedication in the years ahead across Pakistan in multiple esteemed institutions.”

Yogi also praised the management and the staff of NICVD for their cooperation to turn this activity of toys distribution into a sure shot success. Professor Khawar Kazmi, Head of Preventive Cardiology at NICVD while expressing his views lauded the initiative of Khilona Foundation CEO Yogi Wajahat related to distribution of toys at children ward of medical facility and encouraged him to further gear up in organizing such activities on routine basis. In his message on World Heart Day, Professor Kazmi said that it is very necessary for the youth to be much cautious about their right diet, maintaining proper weight, routine walk and exercises, strictly prohibit tobacco usage in life to prevent yourself from heart diseases.

A quiz and poster competition was also organized by the Department of Preventive Cardiology and Medical Education at NICVD where Yogi Wajahat, Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan also addressed to the audience.

Salman Corporation Country Head, Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan while expressing his views on the occasion said that “it is a moment of immense pleasure and satisfaction for us that we have tried our level best to spread the happiness and smiles among numbers of sad faces, not only of the children but also their parents who are passing through mental agony.” Sarfaraz Ahmed said that in every individual these kinds of activities inculcate the sense of living for other’s happiness which in result gives immeasurable satisfaction to the soul. He lauded the idea of Yogi Wajahat and prayed for the success of Khilona Foundation. Speaking at the event, Head of Customer Services DreamWorld Resort, Syed Muhammad Khurram Shah Jilani appreciated the efforts of the organizers and said that in today’s world, countless problems exists all round us, in such an environment activities like distribution of toys among the patients is undoubtedly a wonderful initiative undertaken by the Khilona Foundation and Salman Corporation.

Editor-in-Chief, Daily National Courier Aneel Ahmed Usmani, senior journalist Akbar Hussain, National Sales and Marketing Coordinator Habib Oil Mills, Tayyaba Zaidi, Salman Corporation representative Naveed Anjum, corporate representatives, doctors and paramedics staff was also present at the event held at NICVD here yesterday.
