ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi said tragic memory of Army Public School attack is still fresh in hearts of nation, which will never forget sacrifices of martyred children.

“December 16 will always be reminder of great sacrifices of martyrs of Army Public School,” he said in his statement on eighth anniversary of APS incident. President Alvi recalled that militants committed extreme barbarity by targeting innocent young children in 2014.

He said APS tragedy brought nation together to get united for decisive war against terrorism. He said entire nation was firm in finally eradicating remnants of terrorism and expressed commitment that no attempt could weaken resolve against this fight. President prayed for elevation of ranks of martyrs of Army Public School.

He said that day was also reminder to international community that terrorism was common problem of humanity and required intensified efforts for its eradication at global level.  The gruesome incident of terrorist attack on Army Public School whenever comes to mind, one cannot keep control on emotions and tears.
